The villa is in a peaceful location on the edge of Orgiva, right in the heart of the Alpujarras, surrounded by orchards. This beautiful region was the last refuge of the Moors in Spain, and their legacy can be seen in the unique construction of the Alpujarran houses, and the water channels that run down from the mountains to feed the fertile valleys. The area is ideal for nature lovers and outdoor sports enthusiasts, particularly walkers and cyclists. A good network of trails crosses the mountains linking the picturesque villages. This villa is of a large size so would be perfect for a group of walkers and we would consider longer lets of a month for such a group, so they have enough time to explore this wonderful area. Please contact us for details of discounts for longer lets. Guests can walk directly up into the mountains from the villa!

There are magnificent panoramic views of the surrounding mountains from the large rooftop terrace, and you can relax in the leafy garden and shady patio. To the north are the snow-capped Sierra Nevada, whilst to the south lie the mountains of the Contraviesa with their vineyards. Orgiva is the perfect base for exploring the Alpujarras, and is also only 40 minutes drive from the coast, or less than an hour from the famous city of Granada.

The villa has 3 double bedrooms, (2 being twin bed rooms), and the bathroom has a bath and shower, with another separate wc. The kitchen has all necessary facilities, including a washing machine, and the living room is large and open with a fireplace and is styled in a Moorish design. The dining room is furnished in traditional Spanish style.

Outside is a private garden with orange & lemon trees. The rear patio is partly covered by vine, and the large rooftop terrace has panoramic views of the mountains. There is parking outside the villa.

The villa is only 10mins walk to the centre of Orgiva, which has shops, supermarkets, banks, etc. There is no pool at the villa, but the nearest public swimming pool is at Orgiva Camping which is about 1 kilometre outside Orgiva, and this is open late June to mid September (entrance fee payable).
